We’ve captured some brilliantly hued long sections of fine silk warp threads from the weaving mills of north eastern India

Each skein features two sections of semi woven weft (cross-ways fabric threads) anchoring long lengths of silky warp (long ways fabric threads). These lengths of silk can be used for brilliant accents on felted or embellished works, or with the larger skeins, as a base for a Nuno-felted fine wrap or scarf.

• 99% silk (may have fine metal zari threads as accents)
• Expect some colour variation – colours shown are approximate
• Two individual skein sizes: LARGE (30 – 40g); MEDIUM (20 – 30g)
• Where colour fastness is important it is recommended to pre-wash this item in the skein to release excess dye before final use

When opened out, these skeins feature hundreds of fine warp threads caught both ends with fabric remnants
